Application
Type PPDs are small, light-weight, voltage transformers,
specifically designed for light metering burdens through 125 VA at
0.1 PF in applications where size and weight are at a premium.
Core and coils
Pre-molded spools are used for the winding spool and terminal
brackets. One leg of the core is fitted through the coil window and
securely banded to a support cradle.
Insulation
Thermoplastic rubber insulating material is permanently molded
to the core and coil assembly, resulting in a compact unit with
excellent mechanical, thermal, and dielectric characteristics.
Terminals
Terminals on the PPD are stud type. Polarity markings, as well as high and low voltage
identification, are molded into the body of the transformer.
Base
The base is constructed of corrosion-resistant aluminum and
secured to the encapsulated base support by four symmetrically
located screws.
Test reports
Test reports are stored electronically and can be e-mailed in
various formats at the time of shipment.
Standards
These units can be tested to all applicable IEEE, CSA, or IEC
standards as requested and is a UL Recognized Component.
