Application
The BYZ zero-sequence indoor current transformer is used for
ground fault detection and is primarily designed for zero-se
quence overcurrent relaying schemes. The outgoing cables pass
through the opening. A phase imbalance produces a secondary
current in the BYZ.
Construction features
The ring-type core is fully insulated and toroidally wound with a
fully distributed secondary winding.
Secondary terminals
Secondary terminals are electro-tin plated 10-32 tap terminals.
Curves
Saturation, overcurrent, ratio correction factor, and phase-angle
curves are available upon request.
Test reports
IEEE test reports are stored electronically and can be e-mailed
in various formats at the time of shipment.
Standards
This unit meets all applicable IEEE and NEMA standards.
